What's the best place to host a group/community these days?

Maybe I’m doing FB wrong? But for every group notification (which I do care about), there’s easily 10 Carole Baskin memes or latest MLM pitch.
That's because internet marketers and scammers love FB groups. Why? Because they're so f-ing effective. It just means you're in shit communities. Typically, where the sleazy internet marketers go, you should too ad they're super effective.

I prefer Slack for communities because you can mute channels the don’t want to hear from, and it’s easier to segment and search convos. I love the Trends FB group (and it’s the only reason I go to Facebook these days), but it’s hard to search for and save convos I’ve seen.
