The ability to become the richest person ever certainly is one indicator that someone would be a great leader. They’re either smart, lucky, hard working, skilled, or charismatic or likely a combo of all, so certainly seems interesting enough to discuss leading our country.

Additionally, gates built the most valuable company on earth. So he has a global perspective, maybe more access to peopl/ideas/situations than the president himself, and knows about decision making that impacts billions of people.

No experiencing governing anything other than a tech company and a foundation. Never made or enforced a law. Never a mayor, city councilman, governor, or congressman. No on the ground knowledge of government outside areas of his particular regulatory or lobbying interest.

for 2 weeks i've been reading jason, rabois and musk blurt misinformation about covid-19, with utter self assuredness. this strikes me as quite similar: the assumption that if you built a successful tech business, you can of course run a country. it's silly talk.

So, to summarize, you think: Bill gates built the biggest company ever that employs millions and impacts billions, making him maybe the top 20 most powerful people on earth. However, his experience and success do not show he might have traits needed/experience to lead America. Lol

And to reiterate: you’re saying Gates experience building the biggest company ever does not mean he might have the good leadership qualities to lead a country?
