Right. That’s my point. I’m saying this tragedy is showing how it’s easy to say we have it rough. But to me this is proving we as a whole had had it mostly great.
Just weeks ago employment was near all time high. Nearly every American had a job. Economy was booming. The thought of a pandemic was laughable. No wars. Our country, mostly, was/is amazing.
Yes. And a few weeks ago most Americans didn’t have $400 saved for an emergency. Before COVID. Low unemployment doesn’t mean living wages or career trajectory.
Americans are beyond soft. There are certainly people in poverty in this country. Still no comparison to the shit lives a lot more people endure in this world. The worst in this country is way better than the best elsewhere #perspective
