I've tried to figure out the podcast charts. Quantum physics is easier. My pod can drop or gain 50-60 spots in a week for no apparent reason.

No. Also ratings and reviews have zero impact on rankings in Apple Podcasts, it's all related to subscriptions.

The number of ratings do however have an impact on “viability” when advertisers consider a podcast. The higher the ratio of ratings to listeners per episode, the more real the audience numbers seem.

Not sure but one tip is to put all of that and any CTA for listening in the beginning or the middle of the show bc most don’t make it to the end of an episode
