I think part of it is that the culture emphasizes execution. They may not be great at creativity but they’re cut throat when it comes to things that require repetition like math. That mentality helps drive rapid scaling

this is true, i have a friend in hongkong that scale his company from 1 to 500 less than 2 years. And their company product is actually not that kinda creative/attractive

Mindset? It was their goal/strategy from day1. Super-connected 1B+ customer base they're hoping to serve. You're confronted with scale in every interaction of daily life in China, it's ingrained in societal thinking & more aggressive/competitive mindset than US-based tech cos imo

Didn’t see risk taking mentioned, but believe it plays a big part. I have seen a bias for trying something that might work at the risk of crashing and burning vs waiting for more info.
