i didn't say you said that? i just found your comment about criticisms vs. the significance of $10 billion to be interesting, and i disagree with how you characterize it as a "huge deal" when Bezos' wealth came at a huge environmental cost

Agreed. It's the equivalent of a guy breaking your legs but then offering to cover some of your medical bills. Yea thanks for that, but my legs are still broken. Not to mention in this analogy he would come back at regular intervals to keep breaking your legs.

Participating in society is not the same as ruling it.

Also add to the analogy that you (likely, as well as most Americans) ask him to break your legs and pay his company hundreds of thousands to do it over and over again and even buy an amazing membership just begging him to break your legs.

Wtf are you taking about. The analogy is clearly about Amazon’s negative impact on the environment + climate — and yes, on humanity — which Bezos is now offering to “fix” through vague charitable means

Millions of people buy their products. Likely you too. We support them. Crazy to blame amazon and say they’re breaking our legs when most Americans buy and contribute to the actions amazon decides to take. Is that more clear? Do u buy from amazon?

You are willfully misunderstanding the point here + shifting the blame on consumers (who sure, can choose where to spend their $) as if the company would disappear if people didn’t support it. But the bulk of its revenue comes from AWS support for industries like fossil fuel

A company wouldn’t disappear if it didn’t have customers? Ok.

Do you shop on Amazon or use their products?

And the bulk of its revenue does not come from AWS.
