Well I guess just that @KentingtonC’s original point about most Americans not having access to capital in the way that Jeff Bezos did seems valid, even if I don’t necessarily agree that the American dream is a myth. It’s just (necessarily) not a level playing field.
I put necessarily in parens because it’s intractable to ever create a level playing field, such that the best talent rises to the top (even if that’s a good goal).
