That is not the true story. His wife Susie wanted to move to California and he did not want to get divorced as he still loved her and for financials reasons. Susie kinda introduced him and Astris as she was a waitress at a bar/restaurant and basically she was OK with it.

Susie basically did not want to be a housewife in Omaha after raising ber 3 kids and wanted to life a more liberal life in California and she was with another guy when she was there. So this was kinda an agreed arrangement by Susie.
