I’ve been looking for a new fun car/ weekend toy. I’ve finally settled on the genre: cars that high school bullies in the 1980s and 90s would drive. Here are the candidates.

Have you owned? My fear with something from the 70s is that it’s nearly too old and will be a pain in the butt.

Would you consider a RHD car? Like an R32 Nissan Skyline?

Prefer American

1986 Monte Carlo SS t-top, 1987 Olds Hurst 442, or the Grand National, 1980 trans am, or 1982 trans am(KIT) Not in any particular order but all would be fun to drive and all are t-top

Triumph GT6, classic 60s style, fun to drive, and great condition models are going for $18k to $40k with prices going up. Fun to drive and easy to park.pic.twitter.com/G8qFrvGAnR

My only experience with triumph cars is that they’re typically in my friends dads garages with tarps over them because they broke down years ago. I own triumph motos. But damn the cars seems like a pain in the ass

Grand national turbo is a unique car that will most likely appreciate most out of the options you listed over next 20 years. But for the most fun to drive, I’d go with the C4 corvette all day.

R&T concurs with the Vette. Would also consider a 911 or Boxter. Fun and tossable.https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/g6526/20-awesome-expensive-cars-you-can-now-buy-for-less-than-20000/ …
