I have to say this. The saddest part of sharing my experience is seeing all the messages from people who had very similar experiences and not just as black women. As women period, Asian, Indian, Latina ect. it’s terrible. Let’s stop checking boxes.

Let's keep checking boxes - but only ones that matter. Like: 1. Is kind? 2. Is compassionate? 3. Is empathetic? 4. Is generous? 5. Helps me be the best person I can be?
I don’t think that matters. Maybe just: can be effective, can do job well, you want to spend time with.
