One reason why I love SF: I just realized about every one of my closet buds is from a different country. India, China, Soviet Union, Haiti, England, Pakistan, Mexico, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Isreal.

I grew up in St. Louis. About 50% of the people are white, 50% black. Don't think I knew one Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Indian, or much else.
