It is pathetic people talk about some recent tech IPOs that are below their IPO price with smugness and disdain. As if the the IPO price takes anything away from the fact that Uber and Lyft created $70B in value and changed the transportation industry, which is incredible.

I can't stand when people celebrate the failure of big VC funded companies. 1) that VC money came from pension funds, school funds, and other hard earned money and 2) why celebrate someone who had the courage to try something in good faith and failed?
