I'm just a dumb hillbilly but here are a few things about paywall content that I think are true: you can charge more than you think, you should do 100% paid only vs some articles free, some not, and you can be aggressive about marketing. Most publishers aren't doing this now.

This is what you guys obviously do with Trends. Strong sales copy, 100% locked and only an annual subscription. I'd be curious to see at the anniversary what sort of churn because some people got curious, paid, and then realize the content isn't what they wanted.

I'm still in the learning process, so who the hell knows. But those are the gambles I'm making. We'll see if we can execute...but if we can, I believe those things are the way.
