I'm just a dumb hillbilly but here are a few things about paywall content that I think are true: you can charge more than you think, you should do 100% paid only vs some articles free, some not, and you can be aggressive about marketing. Most publishers aren't doing this now.
Example: https://digiday.com/media/fortune-rolling-three-tier-membership-program/ …. Fortune is doing subscription now. But they're charging $5 per month. Will take a TON of subscribers to make a dent.
