And the more insidious part of this narrative is that investors preach it to founders who are in a better position to succeed and so when they do, those founders preach it to founders who are in a better position to succeed. And so on and so on and so on.

I think the point is that if you can’t figure out how to overcome the ability to either work on your company full time or get past a $400 bill, it’s unlikely you’re capable to overcome the hurdles required to build a company that makes investors money.
