Horrible. SF is trying to ruin my buddy’s small, local arcade business because “it furthers gentrifications”. Update: last night was the hearing. It ended well. In favor of Joey The Cat and small businesses! Happy the city didn't let bullies win.

To clarify, no one is trying to “shut down” this business (whose family we understand owns the entire building). Coalition groups are asking that this illegal party space conversion from critical blue-collar space simply open a family arcade - not a party space bar.

You guys said it should exist because it’s “designed for young, attractive, affluent professionals”. It’s not your right to tell businesses that they can’t serve certain people.

It's a shakedown. They're a cartel. That's what cartels do.
