This whole idea of "billionaires are evil and shouldn't exist" is popular right now. It infuriates me. But I think it's important to remember that this isn't new, it's just cyclical. Since the late 1800's, this idea has been popular in America (and before that).
Ida Tarbell was a popular journalist in the early 1900's who had it out for Rockefeller, the Jeff Bezos 1920s. She covered Sinclair Oil and is one of the reasons it was broken up. But an interesting twist is that it made Rockefeller MUCH richer as many companies vs staying as 1.
