I've been thinking about buying a domain for months now but decided to hold off until I would be ready to start working on the app (I'm a domain hoarder so wanted to break that habit)

Don’t worry. The domain name will have close to 0% to do with any success. Finding the right domain name is just an excuse people have for not starting.
