and yet we’re all classically trained for the ordinary, and by the time we celebrate the tactics used to achieve the extraordinary, they are ordinary. helpful reminder to be wary of “best practices” by the time they become the best practices.

one that comes to mind is acquiring customers on platforms - tactics work before they are well known, then they become too expensive. that’s a micro specific example
