I have four years of sobriety today. Life is far from perfect but has never been more enjoyable and fulfilling. It just keeps getting better. Very grateful.

Spoiler alert: it's hard for the first few months. But after that, my confidence surged and I felt invincible. Plus my fiance (who I met after 1.5 years not drinking) would never have dated drunk me!

It's not for everyone. Some people are great at moderation. But if you have issues with balance, it's great! I'm a person who goes 100% on everything (food, drink, work, whatever), so abstaining is very helpful if that's you.
