I just figured out how to pay my apartment rent 100% with credit card points. At a solid redemption value too!
After doing the nomad thing for a while, I’m more excited about this than free travel. I’m a homebody now.

Here's another hack @dh taught me: you can pay some taxes with a credit card and get points. So if you sell a business, use AMEX for the taxes and get millions of miles.

That’s what he said on his podcast with Noah Kagan. Sold his bootstrapped co for $200m. Paid millions in taxes with Amex for a 1-2% and got millions of miles. Listen for all the deets. I think all those numbers are right.

Also good for estimated tax payments. I've used https://www.pay1040.com/ , which currently charges the lowest fee (1.87%) for credit cards. Card you use needs to give good points value to make it worth it. Great way to hit spend bonuses.

I work at amex. It has to be through a 3rd party aggregator which costs over 2% . Not worth it unless you use points for biz class
