    Happy birthday to Dr. George "Pinky" Nelson! Pinky received his doctorate in Astronomy from the University of Washington. He was selected by NASA as an astronaut candidate in 1978 and is a veteran of three space flights, logging over 411 hours in space.

    The latest addition to my desk is the “WORM”. This is one of the coolest items I’ve ever backed. Machined out of a solid block of aluminum and anodized. The craftsmanship is awesome. 😎👍🏻

    Astronaut and physicist Dr. Ronald McNair conducted research on satellite-to-satellite space communications and, as a 5th degree black belt, studied the scientific foundations of the martial arts. Dr. McNair died in the space shuttle Challenger accident.
