I try to avoid approaching topics too directly because it can unplug some players, but one of the main ideas I wanted to portray in Jettomero was the shortcomings of violence and how even great power doesn't make peace alone. Not sure how many people pick up on it though.

I feel for this for sure. It's similar to a another thread I've seen talking about how young girls can have male role-models and strong female role models (now), but boys are still discouraged from having female role models (which leads into a lot of other things)

Yeah, it's all connected. As artists I feel like we have a unique responsibility to provide the role models they need.

As a man, and creator, couldn't agree more. Growing up I only found 2 male characters in media representing the type of sensitive adult I wanted to be. And 1 of them was written in 1877. Many types of conflicted boys were depicted, but the solution is always "man up".
