a jump squat is a set number of frames after you press jump where you are crouched and grounded before the jump triggers.

if people didn't like it. try 2 things. 1.) make it shorter. all rivals jump squats are 5 frames (60 fps) 2.) give it more personality.

also cheat we do in rivals. if you trigger a jump squat, it can slide off a ledge and still jump at the end. visually looks weird but yeah.

yea, this makes sense to me. already had some features like this for if you jump just after running off a ledge
