yeah these numbers are likely dumb and would have to be tested. just the idea though. (we usually scale up to usable range too first)
you'd have to expand on that, idk what that is. but i must emphasize wandersong is not designed for "good players" heh :p

a jump squat is a set number of frames after you press jump where you are crouched and grounded before the jump triggers.

its the reason you can be running forward in super smash bros and then jump backwards.

if its not designed for good players then a jump squat might be a good tool to get stick jumping working.

you would want to make the jump squat obvious so it feels snappy still (very crouched)
