Why not just make a bumper or left trigger a jump button then? Makes it less awkward than having it as Up.

I'm no game designer but you could just make it so all/most actions that aren't singing are done with those and it'd allow for that

I think it would be too dangerous, as people might jump by accident due to the imprecision of sticks.

yeah... part of me is arrogant enough to think i can "solve" this with some prediction/states to modify sensitivity... but i may be a fool

tried it and immediately realized it's impossible to get any horiz. distance if you point up to jump. guess im returning my gamedev badge...
