Are there solutions for loading external audio in game maker studio? Or caching it for builds? Worried about how it's impacting build times

I've noticed it converts "uncompressed" sounds to wav, and compressed sounds to ogg. You could pre-do this so gm doesn't?

only happens once, but it goes slow even when not doing this

This issue bothers me to, so I've been doing tests. 'Uncompressed' compiles many times faster than any other setting in gm.

You could change all your sound files to 'uncompressed' sacrificing running memory for compile time, then change for release.

I already have memory issues so this wouldn't work well--also, doesn't matter after the first cached compile! XD (does it?)
