i joined #teamyellow and had my first pokebattle. then i talked to @itsakev about standard pokemon games and he suggested X/Y
I would do the ruby/sapphire remakes over x and y, only because the music and world is much more beautiful imo

I picked X/Y cuz it's the least grindy, has the original starters, and plays like an intro to the series...
