We’re super lucky for all our partnerships on @chicory / @Wandersong_game, but part of me misses releasing games on my own terms (when I was a nobody making freeware games). process of loca/porting/certification/publish etc is so alienating from what excited me about making games
Chicory was finished in my view >6 months ago. Important stuff has been done since but nothing I would have done as a solo dev. That said, I also probably would have released it with bugs that weren’t fun enough to fix, so it’s probably better this way XD
