At least part of the reason you all hate it is because we’ve been conditioned to view our homes as spaces we temporarily occupy, things with market value to be sold @ some point in the future. She doesn’t treat her living space like that, she wants it to be a reflection of her.

Why does that matter? Non-schizophrenic people can also make art that disturbs you. Moreover, it’s art. It’s supposed to make you feel something. The worst thing art can do to you isn’t scare or disturb you, the worst thing art can do to you is have no effect on you at all.
