It's a nicely made jRPG that's all about spending time with your friends. Your decisions during dialogue and combat will impact the mood of your party members, and the mood of every character impacts what abilities they can do in combat and in world traversal too.
The outcome is that every system of the game feeds into the core experience of spending time with friends and caring for others--it's a really graceful, smart design and it lends itself to really wonderful storytelling too.
It helps that across the board, this game demonstrates really good craft. The writing and characters designs are really standout--I LOVE the characters in this game. But the visualaudio aesthetic across the board is just so pleasing. This is a cozy game to spend time in.
I've been recommending it to dev pals because I think there's a lot to learn from the storytelling systems, but, it's also just fun to play. I know there are a lot of games coming right now, and it's tough to make sense of the noise, but this is the one I'd pay attention to.
