I think you'd see a lot more attention paid to it if the timing of release was different. around now most time is blocked out for big-name news. though if not for the guarantee + resulting pressure to release within a timeframe, no indie games would be releasing right now, so

Unless the Doom project utterly shit the bed and is in actually shit, in which case a 6 month delay with a timeline for release plans seems woefully optimistic; they are more than likely just a few weeks behind &it's 6 months because releasing in Jan/Feb is conventionally suicide

Where did I state I heard any of this?/nobody would state this openly/this isn't information anybody needs to know/who wants to scare shareholders. I'm just stating conventional knowledge based on that press release.

nothing about that info is conventional to me. jan/feb is way less competitive, what makes march so much better? what makes 6 months an unreasonably long delay--definitely not the longest i've ever heard, haha.
