(jk) wandersong IS an optimistic game, and folks who havent played it may read that as partaking in blissful ignorance, accepting the world as it is without looking for change. some fiction out there is definitely guilty of that...
but to create change we want in the world, we NEED a shared vision of what our ideal world is. wallowing in negativity is just another way to partake in emotion without inciting change.
personally, i find it difficult to be hopeful every day. it is a constant struggle, one which many of us share. that's why I seek out stories which accept that the world is horrible in their premise, and help us build bridges to a kinder one.
as creators, I think we have an awesome opportunity to use our art to help people this way. for me, I take it as a responsibility to do so. and i'm glad i'm not alone
