As a longtime Pokémon fan, I am in total disbelief to be saying this: The new Pokémon games are totally sweet, and are doing really good new things that I hope the main series picks up on 0-0

I kinda miss the strategy behind catching pokemon...but i appreciate the capture version in handheld mode! Its definitely a good entry point into Pokemon, and a chill fun time to play
I honesty don’t. laboriously managing health and item resources... meh. They’ve been pruning out all the side-tasks your battle moveset has to fulfill (HMs, catching...) and I think it’s an improvement. Also means battling has more breathing room for challenge and strategy :)

I can understand that, but it kinda lowers some pokemons usefulness (my shiny butterfree excels at captures but not fighting.) Also it adds a lot of tension, though i get that being annoying. Especially basically screaming at legends to get in the ball
