I know it's all with good intention... it just shows where our assumptions are. I hope gamedevs will keep working to change this!
thinking about it more, it might just be that we're so used to using these words we don't even think about what they mean anymore. Anything used is a "weapon." An interaction is "combat." that's just what games are. We can do better than that though.
