Implemented achievements today... I dislike achievements philosophically, but we’re doing something weird with them that I’ve never seen before and it made them worth doing! Look forward to it

So you don't approve of achievements that reward you for completing parts of the main game or finishing the game? I personally think it can be a nice additional "reward" for doing so, which doesn't mean playing those parts shouldn't be satisfying in their own right.

At best, it’s a meaningless extra reward... it’s designed for games that are entirely unlike wandersong. Getting an achievement after killing a giant alien makes sense. Getting an achievement after helping a sad person feel better takes you out of the experience/dehumanizes it
