@thatcks urgh. That's never fun.
There's nothing quite like getting a weekend alert that a machine room we have network gear in is at 30C and climbing. Probably AC failure.

@isomer There is approximately nothing I can do, too. I'm not even sure who to potentially call, partly because it's not our machine room. -
@thatcks produce less heat? Power off things that can be lived without for a short time? -
@isomer All we have in there are network switches, mostly dumb ones, and I'm not sure we have any on remote-controlled PDUs. -
@thatcks thats easier. It's annoying when you have your machines melt from overheating.

The good news about the AC failure is that a co-worker was reading email and remembered who to call to maybe get stuff done. So we can hope.
