@cwage Yubikey led me to discover the limits of how much I care about security, ie I'm not willing to pay for one myself for personal use.

@thatcks really? I got one and am surprised by how much i like it. about to order 2 more for work -
@cwage I think I already have all the convenience a Yubikey would give me, so it would just add some extra security once set up. -
@thatcks you use a USB drive or something? -
@cwage ssh-agent with encrypted keys. I flush keys on screen lock, then re-add them when I unlock again (& always lock when I get up/etc). - View other replies

@thatcks i like having them on my keychain though -- knowing i could get in to stuff even w/o my laptop or whatever -
@cwage I basically don't trust other people's machines that much, plus doesn't a machine need special setup to talk to a Yubikey? - View other replies

@thatcks plus it's nicer for 2FA than a phone, which can die, or get lost more easily -
@cwage I'd certainly use a Yubikey if work paid for it. I'm just not willing to pay for it myself, either for home use or for work use.
