    Dear @PowerDNS, I'm reading the 3.x docs because that's what I have. Could your site mute that glaring red 'read the latest ver' banner?

        There is nothing quite like a glaring shouting red 'go away' banner on a website to make me close the tab. They make me viscerally angry.

        In closely related news, I will not be using PowerDNS as a DNS server any time soon, however much people recommend it. Can't read the docs.

        @thatcks I have to ask... Why? Is it just the version banner? I'm sure @PowerDNS_Bert would like to know too.

        @JeffSipek The red banner is a constant screaming presence as I try to read the docs. I can't. Too draining to put up with. @PowerDNS_Bert

        @thatcks @powerdns Remember when you got manpages with software & never had to wonder if you were reading the right version?

        @devbeard @powerdns @thatcks powerdns ships up-to-date manpages

        @Habbie @powerdns @thatcks Wondering why Chris wasn't using them then.

        @devbeard @Habbie @powerdns As far as I can see they don't cover setting up and configuring the server, just the commands & their arguments.

      @thatcks otherwise, please send a patch, we suck at CSS! HTML: https://github.com/PowerDNS/pdns/blob/docs-3X/docs/markdown/theme/nav.html#L52 … CSS:https://github.com/PowerDNS/pdns/blob/docs-3X/docs/markdown/theme/css/base.css#L146 …

      @thatcks if you use ublock, '##.navbar-fixed-top.navbar-default.navbar > .container > .version-warning.container' should work
