@hirojin Sadly the spammers are indifferent to our fine Unix servers. They just want access to our outgoing mail system, even crude access.
The next time spammers compromise a user account here, they're going to find a rather less hospitable environment for their activities.

@hirojin If the mail system has webmail and/or authenticated SMTP, that seems good enough for spammers. Terrible MTA? That's our problem. -

@hirojin Inbound spam (outside spammers to our users) is another issue. Our current system probably isn't good enough & that's a big pain. -

@hirojin We have to let users run random PHP stuff if they want to (in a confined way). Someday this is going to bite us hard, but not yet.
