@thatcks why ed25519?
Current status: switching to ed25519 SSH keypairs where I can and wishing I could on more machines. Some will be RSA only for 5+ years.

@rone DSA as a general cryptosystem suffers from terrible failure modes, like 'bad connection randomness gives away your private key'. -

@rone I think 'compromises private key if you ever make a connection with predictable per-connection randomness' is a really dangerous flaw. -

@rone My impression is that it's stuck in the usual crypto-land of 'if you use it correctly everything works right, bad rng is your prob'.
