Are there staffing issues every summer due to vacation and days off in the sunny season, or is this summer especially short with mass exit from the profession? Is this temporary (seasonal) or something that will continue to grow as facilities lose experienced nursing staff?
In 15 years I have never, ever seen it this bad. And it seems every shift I work I hear of another experienced colleague taking a position elsewhere.
