I am genuinely sad for the queen though. Monarchy and politics aside, it’s hard to see an elderly lady lose the person who’s been at her side for 73 years, especially when you think of how massively they’ve seen the world change in 100 years

Oh a human level, absolutely. I'm mixed CAN/Brit and I'm not a royalist, infact nobody I know watched the funeral. We do however, have compassion for her loss. Same as any loss. Many covid losses needn't have happened though.
