Because newsflash, who you perceive to be "cishet" is based on ridiculous gender stereotypes and an assumption everyone is visibly queer in the exact same ways. THAT is fucking privilege, and you can shove it. Nobody should need out themselves to feel welcome at Pride.

Just as cis folks should be making sure trans folks feel welcome And gay/lesbian folks should be making sure bi/pan folks feel welcome So should allo folks be making sure ace/aro folks feel welcome Because Pride should never be a gatekeeping event that forcibly outs folk

tw: gun violence FYI, I am not ace aro (bigots cannot seem to understand the concept of standing up for folks other than themselves) But off the back of last thread about being bi I was told I should be taken out back and shot in the head. That person did get banned

And I get a mountain of abuse for being non-binary. Horrible misogynistic, ableist, anti-trans abuse. So y'know. I'm not a fan of abusing anyone, particularly marginalised people who have an experience different from mine.

Not at all surprising people think I block them because I think "cishet is a slur" (fucking lol) instead of because they are ace/aro exclusionary bigots who use that word against ace/aro folks. I block all bigots. If you're not a bigot, you don't get blocked

I wonder how many of these people would claim that trans women are violent bc of the gender they were assigned at birth or that trans masc people are toxic when we try to be traditionally (non-toxic) masc?
-
Honestly most of them are super transphobic or truscum like

-
I'm not surprised. :|

Wow these people should really not say things like that even if they don't mean it, especially with the huge increase in mass shootings in our lifetime. That's not a joke....

do you know what cishet means
-
telling cishet people not to come to pride isn't erasing bi/trans/pan/whatever folks because cishet is literally......cis and heterosexual lol.......
-
or just block me that's cool too
-
Do you know what aro/ace means? Because that's what this is about.

TBH lots of cis monosexual gays also get erased because they aren't "visibly queer" unless they are actively in a relationship they can clutch to show they're gay. and I bet they're often all complaining about seeing each other at pride with the "straights ruin" stuff

What the actual fuck?! I’ll never understand why some humans think it’s ok to say things like this about other humans...

im bisexual (prefer men), genderqueer (fem presenting for the most part), and aromantic. its very easy for someone to think im cishet and its this gatekeeping that makes me terrified to go to pride in the first place

Thanks for standing up for us. The bi and trans folks are the ones nearest and dearest to my heart in the queer community because we really have eachother’s backs against exclusive nonsense

Can't anyone come to pride unless they're horrifically queerphobic and looking to start a fight? I mean. Cishets can be the partners of LGBTQIA+ folk etc. etc. Also... Why is there so much hate towards ace/aro folk. Life is hard enough.
