    It goes beyond strategic communications. Where strat comms is about winning short-term goals through persuasive messaging (still v. important), deep narrative change is about creating the cultural conditions necessary to make sure those persuasive messages stick. (8/12)

    For example, campaigners might talk of changing the narrative that migrants are 'taking over’, but the deeper narrative at play might be ‘fear of the other’. It is the power of this deep narrative (and others) that makes the more specific narrative so persuasive. (4/12)
