You know, for every story that dedicates the 'indie boom' to Apple or Steam or whatever, nothing was a more defining technology for indie back in the days than Flash. From @Newgrounds to @Miniclip to @kongregate, that's where a lot of early indies made their first work or dollars
So many creative folks out there have -somewhere in their history- a time of making Flash animations or programs or games or stories or websites or pranks. Were they good? Well, usually not, a lot of it was crap, but that what was great about it. It was OK to make crap in Flash.
May we all have access again to a technology as effective & powerful & janky & broken and messy as Flash, so that we don't feel like what we make has to be great or make money or be a big enough investment that it -has- to become a career.

I remember learning flash in Computer Lab in 2000. Spent 6 years of my youth making dumb cartoons for Newgrounds. It was painfully dumb but amazing ride. RIP Flash.
