For people who have contacted us/me about making sure your blog doesn't end up in our project, it'll be another few days to complete uploading the buffered terabytes of Tumblrs. Keep an eye, as I will too.

This project was lead by relatively-new Archive Team member Kiska, who had assists from long-timers but bravely did dozens of code changes and hours and hours of work to get us the 150,000 Tumblr blogs we have downloaded.

If you're running a warrior, your project probably swapped over to URLteam, the project to keep saving the URL shortener lists of all those services, because that project is simple and ongoing and hugely important. Disconnect with honor, though.

I've been using Tumblthree to download my followed blogs. Approaching 3TB and they haven't cut me off yet, surprisingly. Not sure if it's quite the format you want, but seems pretty comprehensive if you dump the crawler data.
-
It's good for people who want the agency to download their own stuff

Looks like they are even banning people with low bandwidth usage, I only had 3 workers (19GB archived so far in a few days) :(pic.twitter.com/uNxKijLxeB

Same here, only managed to back up ~8 GB.
-
Same here 50gb. My wife is not happy as she also cant access hers now =0

It is always hard to love a Warrior

I called out this out on my old ShortFormBlog account, which still has 150k followers. The community needs to be aware of this horrible corporate behavior.
-
I'm going to pass this around my few friends who use tumblr. Great idea
@ShortFormErnie -
Although I do rush to indicate that this does not do much to sully their reputation further

Holy...sigh. People want their material, they should be able to keep it. Just because of one company wanting to censor people doesn't mean it should stop everyone. We're trying to be as up and running as possible tomorrow evening Monday morning http://www.mojofire.com

This is interesting. How long has this been in development?
-
Since the
#tumblr downfall. We literally started as soon as we heard the bad news. So, we've not slept much. It's been a team of creators/developers pouring their heart into this. Do you have discord? -
Yes, although the link in your pinned tweet has expired now. I'd like to have a look. Pretty impressive to get an application together in such a short time
-
Thank you. Not a lot of people are understanding that. That a small/medium team of people literally created a re-homing website for
#TumblrMigrants in...11 days? Here's another link: https://discord.gg/a8y74d I'm LolaBohemia#2010 on Discord also. -
Thanks, I just joined. (Maybe the other link wasn't working because I wasn't logged in on my browser, just realized.) I'll have a look. What is the tech stack?
-
You'll find that info in the Discord under "MojoFire Work Channels" and see our team leads on the top of the user list. Ping those in discussions talking about what your interested in and they will answer you. Other info is dev/mod only to view but do ask any questions!
