Do you have a collection of tapes that you don’t know what to do with? Are you worried that the ravages of time and obsolescence will destroy the cultural memory held on your tape media? Are you looking for information about how to preserve the tapes in your collection?

Babbage's combed with Software, etc. The holding company rebranded as Neostar, and then Neostar bought EB Games, before the whole thing dumped over to Barnes and Noble, and was rebranded Gamestop. There is a non-zero chance your Gamestop was once a Babbage's.

One thing about getting up around episode 135 for a podcast - I've long ago given up knowing how good or bad an episode is received; I can't tell in the editing. People like ones I don't and nobody responds to ones I'm proud of; the key is just keep going.

Shout-out to the teachers who tried their best to tell a bunch of children complicated subjects and it was doomed from the start, though. I had a teacher try to explain to us in 1980 about Nixon resigning and why, and we were 10

When this went by on the screen, I knew tonight wasn't going to suck. I also believed that the TV station had no idea it was going to happen and was as surprised as I was

As a sequel, on "Hat Day" where we all got to wear Hats (and mine was taken away, because it was a boot), the other teachers were cool with it, but this one explained to us that as 50% of our body heat leaves through our heads, wearing our hats all day would overheat our brains.

4th grade teacher told us that drinking orange juice in the mornings would eventually kill us, because our bodies were not designed to withstand cold liquid into our stomachs that early in the morning.

An article went by talking about Qanon-infused teachers passing on conspiracies to their students. So it's time to ask: What's the most bonkers thing your schoolteacher, yeah THAT one, told you, Elementary School Edition?

Before Dr. Twitter weighs in - this is a Statin, it is making my liver gaflooky so I don't get as much cholesterol, and I would love to lose the weight to get off this thing but that has been Pand-ifficult.

Your reminder that the side effect of one of my heart medicines is that it makes me occasionally sort of feel like I'm having a heart attack and that's peachy
