        I would love for the Commissioner to see exactly why all students are not passing STAAR. TEKS say 3rd grade students are to read proficiently on a 3rd grade reading level. 3rd Grade STAAR has passages on 4th, 5th & 6th grade reading levels as shown by TEA in the attached chart.pic.twitter.com/dF0ok6ii2J

        Well done! Can you give this talk across the state? passing a criterion ref test is not as easy as the Commissioner would like for it to be. A lofty goal, just not attainable in our current ed climate nor with current assessment tools. #txed #txlege
