    Fairly quiet at the polling station in Walsingham, Norfolk this morning. Apparently around 20% of eligible voters have voted so far. After a depressingly fact-light campaign, I encourage everyone to brave the weather and go out to vote. Make your voice heard.

    Fabulous concentration of Common Cuckoos in Sabie Game Reserve, Maputo Province yesterday. 48 birds seen in an area of ca. 10 sq km. Seven birds were aged; 1 adult and 6 first yr like this in the image. Note old wing covs.

    Urban wetlands are hugely valuable as protectors against flooding, cooling during periods of high temperatures, places for leisure and providing a home for wildlife. Every city should have one!
